Jessica Northey
Jessica Northey has an impressive background in the arts and dance. Music has been integral to her life since she was young, providing an escape from the challenges of childhood and times of celebration. After attending a storytelling workshop called The Million Person Project, where she created a Life Map, she could see how music has been with her in every pivotal moment.
Naturally, she was drawn to attain a Bachelor’s degree in Entertainment Business and a Master’s degree in New Media Journalism from Full Sail University to combine design, marketing, and storytelling into her toolbox of knowledge. Receiving recognition such as Salutatorian, Advanced Achiever, and several Course Director Awards for Artist Management and more. She was also the President of a highly successful networking club with over 1,200 campus and online student members through hosting open mic nights on campus that turned into music showcases at a local cafe.
Her professional experience includes graphic design, multimedia production, and web design. She volunteered as a board member of AIGA Jacksonville, as a Social Media Coordinator. She also volunteered as a runner for the Florida Grammy Showcase event during FMF 2015. In addition, Jessica interned at Plush Recording Studios and worked as an assistant to the Manager for Erykah Badu in Dallas, Texas. As well as internships for Content Development for 3BlackDot in Los Angeles, California.
Her passion lies in teaching young musicians about business and design that allow them to shine and share their incredible music with the world through a strong brand presence. She grew up with her mother’s inspiration to live life with adventure and to see the world as a place full of hope and opportunity. Her experiences shaped her into an adventurer who is not afraid to take on small or more significant challenges that expand her comfort zone, and she encourages others to do the same.
